111 days...
Hiatus hereby starts.... (edited 1/29/09)
People. Please don't sign up for auto-payments with your credit card... I did and it wasted at least four hours calling up to rectify and figure it out... they lied to me. they said they would swipe out my balance if it was less than the auto-pay amount and instead they took out all 495 bucks, causing me to get an NFS OD fine of 35 bucks on my bank accnt cuz it went negative. NFS is apparently Non Sufficient Funds- od is overdraft....
I'm gonna try to minimize use of the plastic moolah
arggh i wanted convenience and got a big headache. I want to go back to cash for now - then maybe bartering and fish sticks and fire stones and trees..

The Internet
It's so amazing how fast the internet is growing. It seems like a real gigantic explosion of data, the greatest information system invented. Fast, fast, fast - you think it's slow but it's fast.
Code is working hard while most of us just simply use it and we mostly take all the bytes and commands and swapping of memory for granted.
YouTube alone has at least 100,000,000 videos! Metacafe has oodles of them too. Yahoo! Answers has over 5,000,000 questions and at least 1/4th of them are rather childish. Wikipedia has over 2,700,000 English articles, plus dozens of millions of other articles in other languages. Flickr has over 10,000,000 pictures, but that's nothing compared to Facebook...
News every day flooding our inboxes, and funny emails and online games dissecting our time like little knives. Torrential torrents and satellite currents. Where is the time going! It's starting to go more and more into the digital and virtual world we call the web. Ah, a web reminds one of a spiderweb, and some content is indeed addictive and can catch you!
The world wide web has reached almost every corner of the globe. If you can afford it you can use the web in a tree in a jungle of Madagascar, and guess what? I want to add that to my bucket list...

My second blog of all time
Typing a lot is something we all are doing more of. But this is somewhat dangerous. Too much typing leads to carpal tunnel syndrome. You have to take breaks every now and then - like every 30 minutes if you're typing hard.
Thing is, I got experience from this the hard way...
Make sure to sit up right! Lounging makes it worse for your hands. Your hands need to be elevated, with wrists at the same level as your knuckles.
This blog is meh/lame so far but don't worry I'll throw in cheese puffs and sprinkles soon.
Chatting a lot is one sure way to kill your wrists... umm.. please just call up local friends a bit more often and chat with random strangers less. Again, carpal tunnel syndrome is real.
OK, take care and peace. It's 9 PM and it's time for me to go, I shall commence a blogging hiatus that will extend until nigh of next new year...

My very first blog
Hello World!
This is my first blog, and I'll start by saying, I shouldn't be blogging right this very moment. I should be doing my homework. But, alas, I am blogging.
So what will I blog about. I will blog about random things and things that bother me, the net, my religion - Islam, dieting, basketball, cheese, candy, silver, and about personal issues and my advice to my peers for succeeding in college.
I have decided to boycott television. The other day they wasted my time on some late-night TV program by appealing to the lowest common denominator like they do... it was about people dying. Well, I feel guilty now I'm admitting this, but I will stop so maybe I shouldn't feel guilty. The thing that makes me annoyed and sick at the TV is just how low they are going now. They show all these sensational images then there's an exaggerated voice of this guy saying "Who will live? Who will die?" and it sounded soooooo cheesy/annoying/tacky/nasty/sickening all rolled into one.
I will watch TV on Youtube though. That doesn't count, does it?
